Petroglyphs

As you probably know, petroglyphs are symbols carved into stone to tell the stories of ancient people. You might say they were the earliest form of journaling. Honestly, I might’ve had better luck keeping a journal if I’d just tried etching into rocks.

Throughout my life, I’ve started more journals than I can count. In one of the earliest versions, I used to give the day a letter grade—like a report card for my emotions. I’ve tried opening entries with quotes, writing only about big events, or simply reflecting on the little details of a day. But most of them start with some version of: Here I go again.

So… here I go again.

These pages are a mix of old and new—bits I’ve copied from past journals before tossing the paper, and fresh reflections carved out as I go. Think of this space as my modern-day cave wall. Some thoughts are polished; others are scattered. But they all left a mark.
